Gene T. Fletcher
Gene Fletcher is a 20 year resident of Anderson, husband, father, coach and friend. He has dedicated his life to helping others find their passion and purpose through Christ.
Since graduating with a Christian Ministries degree from Anderson University in 2005, Gene has spent his time as a Youth Pastor, Martial Arts Coach, and founder of the 501(c)3 non-profit Combat Ministries. Now, with The Center by Combat Ministries, Gene is excited to combine his passions for youth, the community and martial arts into one.

Shawn Andrews
Many men who have served alongside Shawn will immediately recognize the truth of his personal “I Am Statement”: “I’m a man of God and a virtuous leader of men who seeks discomfort. I’m a chain breaker, a humble servant, and an inked disciple of Jesus Christ.” His life and leadership consistently reflect that calling.
He is passionate about helping others grow in their walk with God, stay rooted in Scripture, and experience the restoring love of Jesus. As the Part‑Time Director of Ministries at The Center, Shawn will continue to strengthen discipleship pathways, build authentic community, and support the spiritual development of individuals and families across all our programs. His heart for people, unwavering faith, and proven leadership make him a powerful addition to our team and mission.

This team is the behind the scenes genie. They make make sure The Center is running efficiently and at optimal capacity (most of the time)! This group pours their heart and soul into this organization.

Gene Fletcher
Gene is the brains of Combat Ministries. He is an idea generator, a mentor, a teacher, a fixer of broken things, a listener, a game player, a balancer of books, and the director of our team. His happy places are at the dojo and with his family.

Tabitha Fletcher
Tabitha is the creator of all things communications and marketing. If you need to know the who, what, where, when and how, she's your gal. Tabitha loves all things art, adventure and family.
Office Manager
Lisa Nevins
Lisa is the queen of all things organization! If you have an account with us, you are in her capable hands. She loves coffee on her front porch, and hikes with her family. She is also training non-stop for her upcoming Black Belt test. Wow! If you know, you know!
Director of Youth Outreach
Kennady Scott
Kennady is our hands on coordinator for all of our community youth programming ages 7-17. She is energetic, organized and makes it a priority to show each student that they are valued and important. Kennady's primary youth program is The Center Social (formerly Parent's Night Out) . TCS is the last Friday of the month and a place for youth to unwind and have a safe place to have fun!

These Coaches not only teach Martial Arts, they teach each student Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control and Indomitable Spirit.

Tabitha
Fletcher
Tabitha has been an artist for 25 years and an art teacher for 10 years. As the Artist in Residence for Combat Ministries, Tabitha organizes and teaches the art classes, as well as designs the on campus artwork.

Lisa Nevins has over 30 years of teaching experience. Her passion for education and ability to pour into students of all ages is an invaluable gift to Combat Ministries and its various programs.

Nichole is our Art Exploration Teacher.
This class is designed for elementary ages . Nichole has an incredible way of helping our students see the joy and magic in creativity. She encourages them to be curious while teaching them fundamentals they will carry with them as they grow in the art world.

The mission of Madison County Youth Spinning Guild is to make the fiber arts accessible to the young people of Madison County. The Guild aims to accomplish this through programs in schools and libraries as well as in collaboration with other like-minded community organizations.
